Troubleshooting Guide - Air in the Outer Jacket

Air in the Outer Jacket

The Heat pump has a hot water tank within a tank.  The inner tank is the hot water supply & the outer tank is part of the distribution side e.g. the radiator circuit.  Often air can gather here, so just like radiators, it sometimes needs to be bled.  This should normally be done once or twice following installation and thereafter once a year.

To do this:
Locate the white nipple. For heat pumps model F1220/F1240 this can be found on the top of the unit.  For the VPA accumulator tank it is located on top of the tank and on the VVM and Fighter 360 there is a black knob at the base of the tank located behind the lower panel (Refer to the manual).

Once located, twist until all air has been released.

After doing this, the pressure may have dropped on the heating gauge.  If this has happened please top it up (see Low Pressure (Heating) Section).

NOTES

If you are stuck in any menu, simply move the off set knob +2 to -2 and you will always come out of the menu you are in.

All information is in the installation manual or at www.nibe.eu under the relevant model and download documents.
